The department is obstetrical, therapeutic, consultative, methodical and scientific center for extragenital pathology pregnant, it designed for 80 beds.

Obstetric ward extragenital pathology and postnatal rehabilitation (head - Davydova Y.)
In the office most seriously ill hospitalized pregnant women with extragenital diseases in all regions of Ukraine, which represent difficulties of diagnosis and treatment in the field. Department doctors carry out on-site counseling to patients (sanitary aviation), which require highly skilled care and which can not be transported to the Institute.
Main areas of clinical work: a survey, determine the degree of risk prediction complications, treatment, preparation for labor and delivery of pregnant women with the most severe diseases of the cardiovascular system (acquired and congenital heart disease, operated heart, myocardial disease, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias and conduction, hypertension, asthenia neurocirculatory) and other extragenital pathology (diabetes, other endocrine diseases, incidence of thyroid tumors, thyroid cancer, kidney disease, bronchopulmonary system, liver, gastrointestinal tract, blood system, systemic diseases of connective tkanynyta etc.)
Every pregnant patient treated and conduct labor in a specialized team of doctors generic unit: obstetrician-gynecologist, internist, and if necessary cardiac surgeon, anesthesiologist, and neonatologist.
Highly skilled specialists, experts are using new developed academics, technology, diagnosis, treatment, intensive care and rehabilitation that provides a high level of specialized care for pregnant women with extragenital pathology and their newborns.
In the obstetric department of extragenital pathology and postnatal rehabilitation introduced new methods of diagnosis, prevention and treatment:
Defining the psycho-emotional adaptation in women with reproductive losses in history, including psychological support pregnancy in preparation for motherhood, pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period in these women;
The principles support perinatal psychologist in the third trimester and during labor of women with severe extragenital pathology;
Conducting labor in private maternity rooms and family rooms.
