Scientific supervisor MD., prof. Victor P. Chernyshov, State Prize Laureate of Ukraine in Science and Technology
Head of Virology - PhD Netreba Nelia I.

Laboratory was organized in 1981. Since its foundation the head of the laboratory is professor Chernyshov V.P.

Immunology of reproduction and development of the body, age peculiarities of immune status of children, the impact of radiation on the mother and child immunoregulation in chronic somatic diseases in children, immunodeficiencies in children, immunologicmechanisms of spontaneous abortions and implantation disorders, immunologicalproblems IVF, egg donation and prenatal diagnosis, here is the areas of research of laboratory.

The laboratory investigates the problem of diagnosing and monitoring treatment of immune diseases in children: congenital and acquired immunodeficiencies, autoimmune, rheumatic diseases, respiratory diseases and liver. The laboratory in the first time was made the characteristic of natural killers and cellular immunity in newborns, immunological changes in children of Chernobyl, the role of factor of necrotic tumors of receptors in spontaneous abortion, changes in product sHLA-G inembryo and fetus rights violations.

Published 450 scientific works, among of them 6 monographs, 35 articles published in international journals in English and German. Laboratory conducted 4 internationalsymposium on reproductive immunology (1987, 1990, 1993, 1996), 2 InternationalSeminar on flow cytometry (1993, 1994). Prof.V.P.Chernyshov is awarded the StatePrize of Ukraine, was elected regional representative, then secretary and adviser to the International Research Society of Immunology Reproduction (1986-1998), adviser to the European scientific community of immunology of reproduction and development of the body (1996-2007) Advisor of the International Coordinating Committee for Immunologyof reproduction (Maly 1982), a member of the New York Academy of Sciences, was awarded an international medal for Cyril Bratanov significant contribution to the development of reproductive immunology (2003).

Virology Group has classic methods of virology - the method of tissue culture andserological methods of research. Conducting virological studies aimed at:

determine the etiological structure infections in children with nonspecific respiratory diseases in older children, respiratory and enteric diseases in young children;
influence of environmental factors, low doses of ionizing radiation on the course ofrespiratory viral infections and immune characteristics in children;
of virological studies in women and children at risk for the presence of their infectionherpes virus, rubella, cytomegalovirus.
